To keep up with what's happening on the project, it's useful to read the project weblog, where the project team record what they're working on and what their thoughts are on in terms of the future of Ubuntusci.
Users
If you're scientist and are eager to start using Ubuntusci, you can get Ubuntusci here. Please also let us know what you think by contacting the project team. There are many scientific applications that are already available. See the Specifications for a list of packages already included in Ubuntusci and this page for an overview of the packages that are already available in Ubuntu.
Developers
If you're passionate about Linux and Ubuntu and would like become part of developing Ubuntusci, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact the project team.

The Ubuntusci project intends to collaborate closely with existing efforts in Ubuntu around the packaging of scientific software. In particular, it will be useful to become involved with the MOTU Science team.
